“ Super cozy place. It gives off a classic vintage American diner atmosphere. My friends and I got shakes and malts all of which were very delicious and were very filling. I would go back and want to try the food next time, because we saw some people get theirs and it all looked so yummy. The prices were super reasonable too and the kind lady who served us was so warm. Can't wait to go back. ”

And ice cream sundaes and malts are by far the best around. I’ve been in and around Elgin for 20 plus years and yet didn’t experience Al’s until recently. “ My daughter invited me for lunch at Al’s and this became instantly one of my favorite places to go to. It was like stepping back in time. I loved all the old photos on the wall. We started off with the sangria which was amazing and I had the salmon salad, which was a good portion and an absolutely delicious and for dessert. I tried a strawberry shortcake martini Which quickly turned into two. Can’t wait to come back, so many martinis to try. ”

I haven't been in Elgin for a while now, and the first thing that popped into my head was Al's Creamery! It had been a while for me, so I was eager to see what had changed. Things were even better than I remembered. I had a great steak outside the weather was pleasant the staff was fantastic the food was fresh and delicious. And I wish I could remember the name of the dressing on my salad, but it was lime-infused, and it was absolutely phenomenal. My steak was cooked to Perfection. The presentation was amazing, and I'm so happy that I returned. And I shall again soon! ”
